From Kyiv Zhuliany Airport (the small one), we boarded a flight to Odesa. This flight was operated by Motor Sich with a Soviet-built Antonov AN-24 built in 1973. The flight cost maybe 40 dollars.
Odesa is a beautiful port city on the Black Sea coast in southwestern Ukraine. Highlights included Potemkin Stairs, Vorontsov Lighthouse, and the grand Primorsky Boulevard.
There were quite a few tourists there. Restaurants and pubs in the center can be quite expensive. Using a rideshare app, we quickly and cheaply discovered better places outside of the center. Just to the east, we found a great place called Zolota Pidkova. The beer was nice and cheap and they also had great cheburek.
